Investigators say stolen crypto linked to Bitget, Cryptobills Ledger, and Triple-A was moved into Zcash. Zcash can hide some transaction details. Earlier, ZachXBT traced about 2,700 ZEC—roughly $3.8M at the time—from the Bitget hack into a private Zcash pool. But the full trail and exact amounts are not public. The reports also don’t prove all funds were hidden or say where they ended up.
This looks like criminals using Zcash’s privacy features, not a new flaw in Zcash. Bitget’s September hack was later estimated at about $387.5M.
