Multi-signature wallets add shared control A multi-signature arrangement can require more than one authorized key before an account accepts a transaction. TRON’s account-permission system supports weighted keys and signature thresholds.
For example, a 2-of-3 setup can assign equal weight to three signers and require a combined weight of two. Any two signers can then meet the threshold. More advanced configurations can give different signers different weights or limit an active permission to certain transaction types.
This can reduce reliance on one key, which is useful for organizations managing a treasury or shared operational account. But multi-signature is not automatically safe: poor configuration, lost keys, collusion, or an unreachable signer can still create problems.
Before changing permissions, test the design, confirm the recovery plan, and document who can authorize which actions. Permission updates themselves are sensitive because a mistake can lock out legitimate operators or grant excessive authority.
