We pulled every October since 2013. Ten of the 13 finished green, with an average gain of about 20%. The red ones were 2014 (-13%), 2018 (-4%) and 2025 (-4%). Two red Octobers in a row last happened in 2011 and 2012, when bitcoin traded under $15.
Late October has bailed it out before. From the Oct 17 close to Oct 31, bitcoin gained 3% or more in 9 of the last 13 years and fell in 3 of them (2014, 2018 and 2021).
To finish this October green, BTC has to close above $83,624 on Oct 31. That's about 3% from here.
