AI training data needs a rights trail, not just storage.
Sui Foundation’s October 12 announcement says DATA Network and its Trace registry are joining the Sui stack, with Walrus as the default storage layer. Trace records data provenance and attached usage rights; encrypted original files would strengthen verification.
For $SUI watchers, distinguish the announced integration from a completed transition: the existing DATA Network continues operating until the upgrade, with a holder transition plan still to come.
