$SOL has been giving me a signal I don’t want to ignore — but I also don’t want to overinterpret it.
U.S. spot Solana ETFs recorded another net outflow on October 16, with around $12.7 million leaving the products, according to Farside.
That followed a $9.8 million outflow on October 15.
And when I look at October 12–16 together, Solana ETFs saw roughly $25.5 million in net outflows.
Meanwhile, $SOL is trading around $104–105.
The interesting part for me isn’t simply that ETF flows are negative. It’s how persistent the weakness has become compared with the stronger inflows we saw earlier.
September 25, for example, brought around $86.7 million into Solana ETFs in a single session.
But I wouldn’t use that difference alone to say SOL is bearish.
ETF flows represent activity in a specific group of investment products. They don’t capture everything happening across Solana’s network, DeFi, exchanges or other parts of the ecosystem.
That’s why I’m watching the divergence instead of making a prediction.
If ETF outflows continue but SOL starts showing stronger price action, that would be worth investigating. If both continue weakening, that would tell a different story.
For now, I’m more interested in what the data is actually saying than what I want it to say.
