Earlier this week, altcoins led a bounce: Celestia, Injective and LayerZero were among the leaders, and the Altcoin Season index rose to 60. Binance’s market update argued it was mostly short covering, since open interest grew less than prices.

🔻 $INJ ~$8.56 (-6.7%)
🔻 $TIA ~$0.67 (-5.5%)
BTC ~$81.5K (-0.4%) | ETH ~$2,426 (-1.2%)
Why this matters: rallies built on short covering have no new buyers behind them, so they can reverse once the shorts are gone. The sharp drops are consistent with that, though one day of data doesn’t prove it.
