Phantom's gasless option covers ordinary token sends on Solana, not only swaps. An eligible transfer can move the token you already hold without first buying SOL or exchanging it for another asset.
Under Phantom's existing rules, the send must be worth at least $0.30 and the token must be verified. Phantom handles eligible transactions automatically and deducts a flat fee from the token being sent. You still pay for the transaction, just from that balance rather than a separate SOL balance.
To check verification on mobile, open the token's page and look under About for “Verified” next to Security. That label identifies a token recognized by Phantom's data providers; it isn't a safety guarantee.
If the transfer isn't eligible, you still need SOL for the network fee.
