BTC COULD BE SETTING UP FOR A BIG SHORT. BUT THERE’S ONE LEVEL I NEED TO SEE BREAK FIRST.

$BTC is trading around $81,600, and the 4H structure still looks vulnerable.

Here’s what caught my attention:

• Lower highs after the failed recovery toward $82,900.

• About 63% of Binance Futures accounts in the latest long/short ratio are positioned long.

• Funding is positive, even while BTC struggles to recover.

The level I’m watching: $80,780.

If BTC closes below it on the 1H chart and then fails to reclaim $80,780–$81,000, I’ll consider that a bearish confirmation.

Potential downside areas:

🎯 $79,730 — previous swing low

🎯 $78,500 — extended downside scenario

Invalidation after entry: above $81,450.

But there’s a catch.

If BTC holds support and reclaims $82,100, shorts could get squeezed instead.

I’m not entering just because the chart looks bearish. I want confirmation first.

What do you think happens next: breakdown below $80,780 or a short squeeze back above $82K?
