BTC: The $80K Recovery Needs Proof | Oct 16

📊 LIVE MARKET CHECK

BTC: $82,078 — Binance live page, checked at 12:57 UTC today. Small difference from your exchange is normal.
Open Interest: $52.58B — CoinGlass snapshot at same time.
I refreshed Funding twice, it was flipping. So I won't put a fixed number that will be wrong in 10 mins.

🔎 WHY I'M WATCHING THE $80K AREA

I saw BTC wick to $79,770 yesterday — that's the four-week low everyone was watching. The bounce to $82K looks good on the chart, but honestly, one green candle doesn't mean trend reversal.

I learned this the hard way in 2022. So now I wait. I want to see buyers actually defend $80K for a full day, not just 2 hours.

🐋 WHAT I FOUND TODAY

Whale Alert showed 1,239 BTC moving into Coinbase Institutional around 12:03 UTC Oct 15, and 1,215 BTC moved out to unknown wallets by 14:12 UTC. Big moves, but transfer ≠ buy.

ETF side: $5.1M inflow on Oct 15 after $261.4M outflow on Oct 14. So institutions are still cautious. One green day doesn't change my plan.

🎯 MY RULE THAT SAVED ME

I risk only 0.5% per trade. I set stop BEFORE entry. And I never add leverage to recover a loss. This rule kept me alive.

$BTC $ETH $BNB — different charts, same rule for me: verify, then risk.

So would you buy a confirmed $80K retest, or wait for $82,616 to break?
