What I find difficult about Nillion (NIL) is not understanding why privacy matters, but figuring out who will actually pay to make it work. I keep thinking about data that must be useful without becoming visible to whoever processes it. That’s where Nillion’s Blind Computer idea catches my attention. nilDB, nilCC and nilAI approach different parts of this problem, while MPC, TEEs and FHE come with different assumptions and limitations. I’m still questioning how Blacklight’s verification fits into the wider security picture. And then there’s the token: even if the technology proves useful, will real demand translate into sustained demand for NIL, especially as supply expands? I don’t think these questions have simple answers. I’m interested in what Nillion can deliver beyond its technical design, and I know there are gaps in my understanding. I’d genuinely like to hear from people who have worked with privacy computing firsthand.
