đđ Bitcoin Price Is Now Calmer Than Almost 100 Famous US Company Stocks
For years, people were told not to buy $BTC because its price jumps up and down too fast, but today Bitcoin is actually calmer than many top American company stocks đŠ
A 14 October 2026 report from crypto investment firm Grayscale (using Bloomberg data) looked at how much $BTC price moved over the last 12 months. Five years ago, Bitcoin's yearly price movement score (called volatility, which simply measures how wildly a price goes up and down) was 81%. Today, that number has dropped nearly in half to 43% âł
That makes Bitcoin steadier than almost 100 of the 500 biggest US company stocks:
đč JPMorgan (20%) and Amazon (31%) still have calmer prices than Bitcoin (43%).
đž Oracle (55%), Coinbase (71%), Honeywell (86%), and SanDisk (110%) all had much wilder price jumps and drops over the past year.
Why prices are calming down:
đŠ Banks and everyday investors now buy through regular stock market ETFs, bringing steady money.
đ§ More buyers and sellers mean one rich trader cannot easily push the price around anymore.
Still, calmer daily moves do not mean zero crash risk, as Bitcoin fell over 50% from its $126,080 peak before climbing back near $82,485 â ïž
Do you feel safer holding Bitcoin today than 5 years ago? đ
