🔎 3.7% HEADLINE. 2.6% CORE. Why read both?

September 2026 U.S. CPI:
• Headline inflation: 3.7% year over year.
• Core inflation: 2.6% year over year.
• Monthly changes: 0.6% headline and 0.3% core, seasonally adjusted.

Core excludes food and energy. It does NOT mean those costs stopped mattering to households.

For a $BTC or $ETH trade, one inflation number is incomplete context. I would also check whether yields, the dollar and the asset's own price structure support the same thesis. They can diverge.

My decision rule: if the macro story sounds bullish but the asset cannot reclaim a broken support level on a completed hourly candle, the setup is still unconfirmed.

A convincing explanation is not an entry trigger.

Which part of the report are you weighting most: headline, core, or the market reaction?
