Longs are paying +0.005% funding to stay long $EPIC today, which means someone is paying to hold a perp Binance will close for them on October 20. ⏳

Binance announced today it will delist Epic Chain: spot pairs stop trading on October 28, futures positions get force-settled on October 20, margin borrowing ends October 15 and withdrawals stay open until December 28. The token answered with a -30.86% session on $5M of volume, the whole -36.98% week delivered in one go. Bitcoin is -2.10% over the same 24 hours, so this move is the announcement, not the tide.

Price is $0.3071, sitting on the $0.3066 low of a $0.3066-$0.4593 range, about 0.3% off the bottom with no bounce yet. Funding is what reads differently from a typical knife: it stayed positive, so shorts aren't paying to press it and the selling looks like spot holders leaving, not leverage piling on. 📉 Deep negative funding before the October 20 settlement would say the perp is front-running spot, while funding near zero says the book is just thinning.

The read changes if $EPIC closes under $0.3066 on volume this light, because a fresh low with no bid under it differs from a low that holds while the headline fades. 🔍 That $0.3066 low is what I'm watching, a reference rather than a target.
