DUTCH CENTRAL BANK APPROVES QIVALIS EURO STABLECOIN UNDER MiCA
đȘđș Qivalis has reportedly received Electronic Money Institution (EMI) authorisation from the Dutch central bank, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), marking a major milestone for its planned euro-backed stablecoin.
Backed by a consortium of 37 European banks across 15 countries, Qivalis aims to bring regulated euro-denominated digital payments and blockchain settlements to the European financial system.
WHY IT MATTERS:
đč MiCA-aligned regulatory framework
đč Planned 1:1 euro-backed digital token
đč Potential competition for existing euro stablecoins
đč Growing institutional adoption of blockchain payments
The stablecoin launch is still pending. The licence does not mean the token is already live.
