đ„ MONEY MANAGEMENT BASICS FOR TRADERS
After years of trading crypto and forex, one thing Iâve learned is this: most traders donât lose because they canât analyze the market, they lose because they canât manage risk.
You can have the best setup in the world and still blow an account if your money management is poor.
1ïžâŁ Think in percentages, not dollars
Your account size doesnât matter as much as the percentage youâre risking. Keep risk small and consistent, ideally around 1â2% per trade.
2ïžâŁ Know your exit before you enter
Every proper trade needs an entry, invalidation/stop loss and target. Entering without knowing where youâre wrong turns trading into gambling.
3ïžâŁ Never revenge trade
After a loss, donât increase your position trying to recover quickly. Iâve seen this destroy more accounts than bad analysis. Take the loss, reset and trade the next setup normally.
4ïžâŁ Judge yourself over a series of trades
One win proves nothing. One loss proves nothing. Your edge becomes clear over many trades executed with discipline.
Protecting capital comes first. Opportunities will always return, but only if you still have capital to trade them. đ
