KUCOIN & MEXC HIT South Korea has approved restrictions on 27 unregistered crypto exchange websites, including KuCoin, MEXC and Phemex, in a major cryptocurrency regulatory crackdown. ▪️ South Korea’s FIU requested the restrictions. ▪️ The decision followed reviews on October 6–7, 2026. ▪️ Website restrictions follow earlier Google Play and Apple App Store restrictions. ▪️ Unregistered crypto operators face up to 5 years in prison or fines of up to 50 million Korean won. IMPORTANT: These restrictions apply to South Korea. This does NOT mean KuCoin or MEXC is shutting down globally.
