Lumina: Judging an Oracle by the Full Path, Not the Final Price
An oracle is not a single data point. It is a chain of decisions about what data survives.
DIA Lumina splits that chain into four jobs:
Feeders: collect market data, calculate source-level prices Pods: preserve feeder-submitted data on chain Aggregators: apply configurable rules to produce the oracle output Spectra: deliver oracle updates across chains
Each stage answers a different question: what was observed, what was recorded, how the value was computed, and how it reached the application.
“Decentralized oracle” can mean several things. Multiple collectors do not guarantee robust aggregation. On chain records do not make source data correct. Cross-chain delivery does not prove the original observation was representative.
The real test is whether the whole path, from observation to delivery, is transparent enough to inspect.
