🚹 $XRP HAD A BUG THAT COULD HAVE CREATED FAKE XRP OUT OF THIN AIR 😳

GUYS, this wasn't just another random software glitch

On October 9, details emerged about a critical integer overflow vulnerability in the XRP Ledger that could potentially have allowed attackers to create and spend XRP that should never have existed

The flaw was fixed in "xrpld 3.4.1" before public disclosure and RippleX reported no evidence that it had been exploited on public networks

And crypto has seen this kind of nightmare before

Bitcoin's 2010 overflow bug was actually exploited while $ZEC has also disclosed vulnerabilities involving the potential creation of counterfeit coins

But here's the important part
A CRITICAL BUG DOESN'T MEAN SOMEONE ACTUALLY EXPLOITED IT

I'm glad the fix was in place before disclosure but this also raises a serious question about how much holders should know when a vulnerability could threaten a network's supply

Disclose too early and attackers might get a window to exploit the flaw. Disclose too late and users may question whether they're getting the transparency they deserve

WHAT DO YOU THINK
SHOULD DEVELOPERS DISCLOSE THESE BUGS ONLY AFTER A FIX IS READY OR SHOULD HOLDERS BE WARNED EARLIER?
