A single revenue announcement from OpenAI can make investors in several AI companies nervous at once. Looking back at CoreWeave's Q2 2026 financial report, three major clients contributed 36%, 26%, and 10% of the quarterly revenue respectively, totaling 72%. This is an anonymous client classification disclosed by the company, so we cannot arbitrarily assign names to any company, but it is enough to remind us: people who bought different codes may still be relying on the budgets of the same group of clients.
If a major client of a computing power supplier adjusts their purchases, the impact may be transmitted to other companies through orders, equipment investments, and financing arrangements. Different positions in the industry chain bear the changes at different times. Simply buying chips, cloud services, and model-related assets and assuming diversification is complete may be too optimistic.
