Wall Street is getting a direct way to hold $XRP
, but the first test comes when the market is cautious.
Evernorth, a Ripple-backed $XRP P treasury company, cleared its shareholder vote and is moving to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker $XRPN.US . It expects to hold about 473M XRP and says more than $1B was raised through the deal and its placements.
Why it matters: the listing gives equity investors indirect XRP exposure without using a crypto exchange. The structure also carries risks. XRP trades near $1.40–$1.50, well below the $2.54 average Evernorth paid for part of its holdings. Treasury-company SPACs have also hit headwinds this year, and Bitcoin Standard Treasury scrapped its original merger terms in July.
Possible bullish read: a regulated, liquid XRP proxy could widen institutional access.
Possible bearish read: a SPAC-listed treasury can trade at a discount to its holdings, and any early weakness may weigh on sentiment.
What to watch: XRPN's first sessions, how its share price compares with the value of its XRP holdings, and whether XRP's $1.40 area holds.
Does a public treasury company make XRP easier to trade, or just add another layer of risk?
