Regulatory clarity unlocks markets in layers — and most analysts only price the first one.

When the SEC approved a spot Bitcoin ETF, the obvious read was: new buyers, fresh capital. True. But that was just layer one.

Layer two: ETF options markets. Institutional desks can now build covered calls, protective puts, and structured notes on a regulated underlying. Hedging vocabulary expands.

Layer three: structured products. Banks package principal-protected notes with $BTC upside. Pension funds get exposure with downside guarantees they require. No board votes down insurance-wrapped crypto.

Layer four: index inclusion. Once an asset has a liquid, regulated wrapper and an options market, index providers can model it. That means forced allocation from passive funds that track the index.

Layer five: balance sheet collateral. Regulated custodians + audit trails + liquid markets = prime brokers accept $ETH or $BTC as margin. Credit expands without selling.

Each clarity event is a domino. MiCA wasn’t just a compliance checkbox — it created a legal passport for stablecoin issuers across 27 countries simultaneously. The stablecoin payment corridor thesis for $BNB -settled transactions just became bankable.

The mistake is pricing the first domino and ignoring the cascade. Regulatory maturity is a compound event, not a one-time unlock.

Watch which clarity event you are actually in — not just that one happened.
