🏦 The Fed is back in focus. Why does crypto react to every word?
The next Fed meeting is scheduled for [date, check the Fed calendar]. Here’s why even pure crypto traders watch it:
📉 Higher rates → loans get pricier, and risk assets (including $BTC) often come under pressure
📈 Lower rates or a signal of cuts → more liquidity, and risk assets usually get support
🧭 The tone of the statement → sometimes matters more than the decision itself. Markets trade expectations, not facts
What I’m tracking this week:
1️⃣ Market expectations for the rate decision [insert current data, e.g. from CME FedWatch]
2️⃣ US 10-year Treasury yield [current value]
3️⃣ How $BTC and $ETH react on meeting day. The first move is often misleading and reverses within hours
⚠️ My approach on days like this: I don’t open big positions right before the decision, I cut leverage, and I wait for volatility to settle.
