#xrpledgerpatchesxrpcreationbug Developers have fixed a major security bug in the XRP Ledger that existed since 2015. This flaw could have allowed hackers to create new XRP tokens out of thin air, breaking the fixed 100 billion token supply cap.
Security researchers reported the issue, and an emergency software update was released immediately to patch it. RippleX confirmed there is no proof that anyone used this bug on the public network. All user funds and token supplies remain safe.
