📉 Satellite strike on telecoms: Why are the giants falling and what does SpaceX have to do with it?

A powerful drama is unfolding on the U.S. stock market: T-Mobile (TMUS) shares collapsed by 13.18% (to $148.72), showing the strongest drawdown in the sector. Other giants also got it - Verizon and AT&T lost about 10% each.
The main trigger of the sale is the aggressive expansive step of SpaceX Elon Musk. The company buys the spectrum from Grain Management for $8 billion to combine Starlink's Direct-to-Cell satellite network with traditional ground infrastructure.

Investors are seriously afraid of the emergence of a hybrid "space-ground" operator, which will be much easier and cheaper to scale than to build the usual communication towers.
