U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs saw $161M in net outflows on Oct 7, the seventh straight day of withdrawals (SoSoValue). Trader Tâs tally puts the five-day total at $506.3M, the largest since Jan 23, 2026.
Who led the exits:
đ„ BlackRock ETHA: $116M (cumulative net inflow still $12.92B)
đ„ Grayscale ETHE: $25.77M (cumulative net outflow now $5.467B)
Smaller outflows hit 21Shares, Bitwise, VanEck, Grayscale Mini ETH and Invesco, at $2â6.3M each.
Big picture:
Total net assets stand at $16.402B (5.22% of ETHâs market cap). Cumulative net inflows since launch remain large at $13.389B.
Price pressure, updated:
$ETH slipped below $2,500 on Oct 8 and trades near $2,488 (24h low $2,405), with ~$759M in liquidations in 24 hours, mostly longs. One whaleâs 98,089 ETH long was partly liquidated (28,716 ETH, ~$69.7M). The remaining 78,955 ETH (~$195.6M) now has liquidation levels near $2,299 and $2,286.
Bitcoin too: $BTC spot ETFs saw $487M in net outflows the same day, led by IBIT at $208M.
Bottom line: Cumulative inflows remain large, and ETF flows alone donât set price. But while outflows persist and leveraged longs stay exposed, the short-term balance favors sellers.
