$AAVE: where the liquidations are stacked đŸ”„

I made an estimated liquidation heatmap for $AAVE over the last five days (1–6 Oct, 15-minute bars). The brighter the band, the more leveraged positions would be forced closed if price reached that level.

What the chart shows (price $180.56):
📉 Below price: mostly longs
‱ About $14.0M in long positions sit below the current price
‱ The biggest cluster is ~$734K at $162.22, about 10% down
‱ There's a thick band around $175–177, only 2–3% away

📈 Above price: mostly shorts
‱ About $4.4M in short positions sit above
‱ The biggest cluster is ~$545K at $189.63, about 5% up
‱ There are more bands around $187–190

In plain terms: there's roughly 3× more leverage stacked below than above. AAVE has chopped between about $177 and $187 for four days, and the liquidity on both sides keeps building. Price often gets pulled toward these pools. A drop through $175 could set off a chain of long liquidations. A push over $187 would squeeze the shorts first, but that pool is smaller.
