Last week, the Lumia community voted to accelerate the ecosystem’s next phase of growth. LGP-01 passed with 95 percent voting YES on Lumia Pulse, approving the USDT buyback of remaining eligible HyperNode rewards and establishing the Lumia Foundation Growth Initiative (LFGI).

The result builds on September’s progress, with Pulse opening to the community and a clear plan to expand Lumia’s role in institutional finance. As more assets and financial services move onchain, Lumia is even better positioned to pursue the opportunities at hand.

Financial Infrastructure Takes Center Stage

As September drew to a close, Binance Research’s September 29 report placed the onchain RWA market at approximately $38 billion, up 50 percent since the start of the year. Using data through September 28, it also reported that tokenized stocks had surpassed $3 billion, more than quadrupling since January.

On September 24, IBM announced beta connectivity between Digital Asset Haven and Swift’s blockchain-based shared ledger for tokenized deposit transactions. It also announced an on-premises beta option, giving institutions greater control over digital asset operations. Seventeen institutions were piloting tokenized deposits through Swift’s ledger.

For Lumia, these developments reinforce the case for infrastructure that institutions can put to work. A tokenized asset needs distribution, liquidity and reliable settlement throughout its financial life. Lumia’s full-cycle approach is built around connecting those functions, with compliance and operational control integral to the process.

That institutional focus also runs through Lumia’s policy work. Early in September, Lumia highlighted public calls from advisors Tim Ryan and David McIntosh for clear U.S. digital asset rules. McIntosh connects that policy agenda with the opportunity for Lumia:

Lumia Pulse Goes Live

September marked the community launch of Lumia Pulse, the heartbeat of the Lumia ecosystem. Powered by embarkAI, it brings access, participation, rewards and new initiatives together in one place.

Users can seamlessly connect to Pulse through social login or link an existing wallet via embarkAI, lock LUMIA to obtain LUMIAp and use it to participate in governance. The successful LGP-01 vote gave that participation immediate impact, putting the community directly behind Lumia’s next phase of growth.

Pulse will also host the HyperNode buyback claims, connecting the community’s decision with its implementation. Its launch gives Lumia a dedicated platform for community participation as the ecosystem expands.

Bringing Long Term Rewards Forward

The approved buyback will bring forward approximately 18 years of remaining eligible HyperNode rewards, converting a long-term reward entitlement into a defined USDT settlement.

For eligible holders, that means earlier access to the value of their remaining rewards and the freedom to decide how to use the proceeds. Settlement in USDT also avoids distributing all remaining rewards to holders as LUMIA at once, reducing the potential sell pressure associated with that approach.

The plan concludes the legacy HyperNode rewards program as part of Lumia’s move toward institutional and government-aligned business. It recognizes the community’s commitment while supporting the operational control and accountability those deployments require.

Resources Behind Institutional Growth

Through LFGI, Lumia now has an approved framework for committing existing resources to expansion. Its goal covers RWA and agentic programs, sovereign infrastructure, strategic partnerships, market expansion, and builders developing applications on Lumia.

Winning institutional business requires the ability to support a project from initial assessment through integration and ongoing operation. Issuers need onboarding, markets need liquidity, and large deployments can require dedicated Lumia-powered chains and years of delivery support.

LFGI gives Lumia greater capacity to make those commitments and turn commercial relationships into pilots and live deployments. It draws on existing resources, without minting new tokens or increasing total supply. The aim is to expand adoption and the range of financial activity taking place on Lumia.

For Tim Ryan, the value of that expansion lies in what it can deliver for families and businesses:

Putting the Decision to Work

With the vote complete, attention turns to implementing the buyback and putting LFGI’s mission into action. The community has approved a path that brings long-term rewards forward while establishing an initiative that allows Lumia to pursue institutional adoption.

The opportunity now is to translate that momentum into lasting use of the network through new applications, strategic partnerships, and infrastructure that institutions can rely on. With Pulse live and strong community support behind its expansion, Lumia enters this next phase with the foundation to turn those opportunities into long-term growth.
