🚨 Evernorth's XRP merger headline is early. And the bigger story isn't 473M XRP...

Armada shareholders approved the deal, but the merger is expected to close Oct. 7, with Nasdaq trading under XRPN expected Oct. 8, subject to remaining conditions.
Now the number everyone is watching:
~473M XRP.
At roughly $1.51, that's about $714M of XRP.
But it does not mean Evernorth is buying $714M of XRP from the market.
SEC filings show 84.37M XRP was purchased for $214.05M in 2025; other large blocks came through XRP contributions tied to the transaction.
So the Oct. 8 event is less:
“473M XRP of new demand.”
And more:
“473M XRP gets a publicly traded corporate wrapper.”
XRP futures OI is already around $3.6B, with funding positive.
Now I'm watching something more interesting:
What premium or discount will investors assign to XRPN versus the XRP sitting underneath it?
DYOR. The merger has not yet formally closed as of Oct. 6; Nasdaq trading remains conditional on completion and approval.
