Ethereum's exit queue just hit its highest level this year. Should holders worry? 🔍
Early October saw the validator exit queue jump about 392%, to roughly 850K $ETH waiting to unstake.
The estimated wait is now close to 15 days.
Around 523K of that came from MetaMask Staking's precautionary exits after a reported infrastructure security scare.
An exit is not the same as a sale. Unstaked ETH can be restaked, moved, or simply held.
Even at its peak, the queue is only about 2% of total staked supply.
Even so, the market isn't panicking: $ETH is up about 0.9% and $BTC about 1.4% in the last 24 hours.
That suggests traders see this as a staking-side event for now, not a price crash signal.
I'm watching two things: whether the queue shrinks in the coming days, and how $BTC reacts, since it often sets the market mood.
This is my read, not financial advice. Always manage your risk.
Do you think this is just panic, or a sign of something bigger? 👇
