🌍 Where is crypto actually being used the most in 2026?
The latest Global Crypto Adoption Index gives a very interesting picture.
This ranking is not only about who owns the most crypto. It looks at how people actually use it through exchanges, P2P activity, cross-border payments and on-chain balances.
Top 10 👇
🇧🇷 Brazil
🇺🇸 USA
🇳🇬 Nigeria
🇯🇵 Japan
🇰🇷 South Korea
🇮🇳 India
🇺🇦 Ukraine
🇹🇭 Thailand
🇿🇦 South Africa
🇨🇦 Canada
A few things really stood out to me 👀
🇧🇷 Brazil takes the #1 spot, with an estimated $252.5B crypto economy and strong activity across almost every category.
🇺🇸 The US holds huge crypto balances, but compared with some other countries, crypto is still used much more as an investment than for everyday P2P transactions.
🇳🇬 Nigeria is completely different. P2P and cross-border crypto usage remains extremely strong, showing how crypto can work as actual everyday money, not just an asset to hold.
🇺🇦 Ukraine ranks #7, placing ahead of several major economies including Canada, Germany and the UK.
And here is probably the most interesting part 👇
Even during a weak market, on-chain activity has remained surprisingly resilient.
That tells us something important:
Prices can fall. Hype can disappear. But real crypto adoption keeps moving forward. 🚀
