Ethereum L2 Blast to Shut Down
Blast says it will wind down because the ongoing cost of maintaining the chain now exceeds the revenue generated by the L2
• Users are being asked to withdraw assets to Ethereum mainnet
• Withdrawal delay will be reduced to 24 hours
• Blast’s Lido assets will be withdrawn first, expected to take ~1 week
• Normal withdrawals will remain available until October 26, 2026
• After Oct. 26, users will need to interact directly with Blast’s Ethereum L1 bridge contracts
