$SAND : why it's pumping (Binance SAND/USDT)
SAND jumped about 61% to roughly $0.069 on Oct 2. South Korean exchanges lifted the trading caution designation on it, and that was the main trigger. The warning had been placed in August after an abnormal token minting issue on its cross-chain bridge. The removal brought back Korean retail demand, and that demand shows up in global pairs like SAND/USDT on Binance too.
Why traders are bullish:
The caution flag is gone, which is a clear catalyst. Volume is huge, around $680M in 24 hours, so this isn't a thin spike. It's still about 99% below its all-time high of roughly $8.40. Momentum is strong, with about +48% over 30 days.
Why to be careful:
Price is already up 50-60% in a day, so buying now means chasing. It's a one-time news catalyst, and these often fade in a few days. The bridge minting issue is a real security concern. It's still down about 79% over the past year.
My take: The reason for the pump is real, but the easy move is done. If you want to buy on Binance, wait for a pullback instead of buying the green candle, and keep the size small. Check the live SAND/USDT price before acting, since I couldn't confirm the Binance price directly.
