In 2013, Justin Sun was studying in the United States after beginning his academic journey in China. Experiencing different educational environments at a relatively young age can offer lessons that extend far beyond the classroom.
What interests me about this period is the opportunity to develop an independent perspective.
Studying in a different country means encountering unfamiliar expectations, communication styles, and ways of approaching problems. It can challenge assumptions that once seemed completely natural.
The early journey of @justinsuntron reminds me that education is not just about collecting qualifications. It is also about learning how to think when familiar answers no longer apply.
For young people, stepping outside a comfortable environment can be a powerful way to grow. Read different perspectives, communicate with people who disagree, and remain open to changing your mind when new evidence appears.
A broader perspective does not arrive overnight. It develops through repeated exposure to new ideas and experiences.
Sometimes, the most valuable thing we gain from education is not a specific answer, but a better way to ask questions.
