🔥 $APE is hot right now. That still isn't enough for me to trade it

$APE just moved to the top of Binance's hot-token list, with price momentum getting hard to ignore


But the flow underneath the move is much more interesting than the green candle
In the last hour, Binance data shows top holders heavily skewed toward buying
Zoom out, though, and the picture changes: the broader 4H and 24H holder flow is still dominated by selling — and top traders are still leaning sell across those longer windows
That's exactly why I don't trade a token just because it's trending

My checklist is simple:
1. Catalyst — why is attention entering now?
2. Flow — is real demand supporting the move?
3. Trigger — what does price need to confirm before I enter?
4. Invalidation — what proves the idea wrong?
With $APE , short-term buyers are showing up

The question is whether they can absorb the broader selling pressure.
If they can, the setup gets interesting
If they can't, the hot ranking may simply be showing us where the crowd arrived late
