GTC is moving again but the interesting question is whether we actually know why.

Binance’s current GTC/USDT Spot market shows GTC around 0.09387, up 8.01% over 24 hours. The same Binance feed shows a 24h high of 0.12600, a low of 0.08607 and more than 52.2M GTC traded.

An independent order-book feed currently shows Binance GTC/USDT around 0.09534, also confirming the sharp positive move.

There is a potentially important timing factor: Gitcoin’s on-chain Governor upgrade vote is scheduled to complete today, October 1.

The proposal would move Gitcoin from Governor Bravo to a newer OpenZeppelin v5 based Governor and add a Proposal Guardian, late-quorum protection and DAO-adjustable quorum.

But here is the important distinction:

The vote is confirmed.

The price move is confirmed.

A direct causal link between the two is NOT confirmed.

That distinction matters because GTC already traded as high as 0.12600 during the current 24h window before pulling back toward the mid-0.09 area.

📊 GTC MAP

🟢 0.086 → key downside reference
🟡 0.094–0.095 → current price area
🔴 0.100 → psychological reclaim
🔴 0.124–0.126 → current breakout zone

Above 0.100:
Momentum has room to rebuild.

Below 0.086:
The latest breakout attempt would look considerably weaker.

0.124–0.126:
This is the area buyers need to reclaim to turn the recent spike into a stronger continuation signal.

For me, the biggest signal isn't the green candle.

It's whether GTC can hold elevated activity after the governance event passes.

Was today's GTC move mainly governance anticipation, momentum, or something else the market is pricing in?
