🚹 MetaMask is exiting Ethereum validators — but this isn’t being described as a wallet threat.

That’s the part that caught my attention. 👀

Following a security incident affecting part of its infrastructure, MetaMask has started proactively exiting affected validators linked to its non-custodial staking operations.

According to the current information, there’s no immediate threat reported to MetaMask wallets.

But there’s another detail ETH and $LDO holders should keep an eye on.

Lido says the affected validators are expected to exit by October 7, while the full exit, withdrawal and possible re-entry process could take up to around 45 days.

That could mean missed staking rewards and some potential downtime penalties during the process.

So the bigger question isn’t just what happened

It’s whether this stays an isolated infrastructure issue or starts making the market more cautious about Ethereum staking and DeFi security.

For now, it’s a developing story.

The next security update from MetaMask and Lido could be much more important than the initial headline.

Watching $ETH . Watching $LDO . 👀
