Burkina Faso has officially unveiled its first state-run gold refinery, built at a cost of $19 million.
The refinery can initially process up to 164 tonnes of gold per year and produce 99.99% pure gold.
Burkina Faso is one of West Africa's top gold producers.
Authorities say the refinery will help the country retain more value from its mineral wealth instead of sending raw gold abroad for processing.
