$EPIC 39.7x Volume Spike Looks Powerful — But Structure Still Says BEARISH

My 1h bias remains bearish while price stays below the key 0.5303 lower high. The current 1h weakness is a counter-trend pullback inside bullish daily and weekly structure, while the bearish BTC tape adds pressure.

The massive 39.7x volume burst followed by a quick +2.8% pop looks more like a liquidity grab into supply than genuine accumulation. OI is falling, taker flow remains seller-heavy, and positive funding means longs are still paying — not the confirmation I want for chasing the spike.

I expect any bounce to test the 0.5106–0.5060 area first, followed by a possible sweep of 0.4980. If weakness continues, 0.4909 and 0.467 become the next downside liquidity magnets.

Short zone: 0.5106–0.5200
Alternative: failed sweep of 0.5303 followed by rejection

Entry confirmation:
• Bearish engulfing
• Lower-timeframe market-structure shift
• Clear rejection wick from supply

Take profits:
TP1: 0.4980
TP2: 0.4909
TP3: 0.4670

Invalidation: 1h close above 0.5303. A confirmed reclaim would flip the 1h structure bullish, so I would stand aside from shorts.

Flow: OI $4.4M (-4.2% 24h) | Funding +0.0050% | Taker Flow 0.78x
