Hackers Move $83 Million in Stolen Bitget XRP
Hackers behind the Bitget exchange attack have moved about $83 million in stolen XRP from three holding wallets, while about $75 million remains in accounts that cannot be frozen under the network's current rules. According to Sina Finance, nearly 103 million XRP were stolen from Bitget on Thursday and spread across five accounts.
A review of XRP Ledger records showed that by Saturday 12:41 UTC, two accounts that initially held 20 million XRP each had fallen to about 23 tokens and 55 tokens, respectively. The third account's balance had dropped to about 5.8 million XRP.
Circle and Tether have frozen about $320,000 in stablecoins linked to the attack. XRP traded at about $1.54 on Saturday, down roughly 4% in 24 hours but still up about 9% for the week, according to CoinGecko data.
