$XRP The Bitget hack has taken another major turn as the attacker reportedly moved around **54 million $XRP RP**, worth approximately **$83 million**, from three wallets linked to the breach.
Around **103 million $XRP** was originally stolen and split across five wallets. After the latest movements, roughly **$75 million worth of XRP** reportedly remains in the original holding accounts.
A key challenge is that **XRP is the native asset of the XRP Ledger and cannot be frozen by Ripple**. However, centralized exchanges may still restrict accounts if the stolen funds are deposited with them.
Bitget has said its protection fund will cover the losses and that customer balances remain unaffected. The exchange is also working with security experts on tracing and recovery efforts.
