⥠$500 MILLION USDC JUST HIT SOLANA! đ
Circle has minted 500 million $USDC on Solana across two transactions, with 250 million USDC created in each transaction. The activity was recorded around September 25â26, 2026.
This comes as Solanaâs stablecoin ecosystem is already showing strong growth. Recent data put Solanaâs total stablecoin supply at a new all-time high of roughly $17.3 billion.
đ” Why does this matter?
More USDC liquidity can provide additional capital for:
âą DeFi and decentralized exchanges
âą On-chain trading and settlement
âą Cross-border payments
âą Consumer payment applications
âą Institutional financial activity
Circle itself highlights Solanaâs speed and low transaction costs as reasons developers use USDC on the network for financial services, high-frequency trading and payments.
But one important point: a USDC mint does not automatically mean $500M has flowed directly into SOL or that SOL's price must rise. The newly issued stablecoins can be used across many applications and markets.
Still, the bigger picture is worth watching. đ
With stablecoin supply expanding and another $500M USDC issuance on Solana, the networkâs role in digital-dollar liquidity and on-chain payments continues to develop.
Could Solana be positioning itself as one of the major settlement layers for internet-native dollars? đđ”
