The token dipped ~5% to $90.50 at launch — classic sell-the-news — then stabilized. Hyperliquid remains the largest decentralized perps exchange (~$240B 30-day volume), with ~$1.2B of HYPE bought back and burned by its Assistance Fund.
Narrative check: this is Square's #1 topic (304k views) — the crowd argues listing-day timing while missing the bigger picture: the listing adds spot liquidity to an already dominant derivatives venue. But euphoria is running ahead of price, which is consolidating below the $95.99 ATH.
