âThereâs never been a weapon as powerful as the combination of people with ill intent using the latest AI tools,â Gates told NBC News.
He said Congress must act and called mandatory government monitoring and enforcement necessary, arguing that âno one thinks self-regulation is enough.â
Gates pointed to AI-enabled cyberattacks, bioweapon risks and attacks on hospitals, power grids and financial systems as immediate concerns.
