Binance made three changes today that all point in the same direction: tightening.
First: Collateral ratios adjusted.
ENA and BCH collateral ratios increased from 50% to 60%. But GAS, NEWT, ORCA, SFP, and UMA dropped from 30% to 10%. 1MBABYDOGE and KAVA rose from 10% to 30%.
When Binance changes a collateral ratio, it changes how much borrowing power that asset provides. A drop from 30% to 10% means the same tokens now back far less margin. That's a risk reduction measure.
Second: Seven leveraged pairs removed.
NOM/USDC, 1MBABYDOGE/USDC, SSV/USDC, BANANA/USDC, OPN/USDC, MANTA/USDC, and STO/USDC were delisted from Cross and Isolated Margin. Positions auto-closed at 14:00 UTC+8.
Third: Seven spot pairs removed.
Binance also delisted seven spot trading pairs today as part of its periodic review. Trading bots for those pairs were terminated.
Three separate actions. One theme: Binance is pruning low-liquidity markets and adjusting risk parameters. This isn't about any single token. It's about keeping the platform's leverage system healthy.
