Bitget hacker update: the 495.6 WETH he fought to sell on Optimism overnight was a bridge that bounced.
Sep-24, 19:48Z and 19:49Z: two transfers from Optimism to Ethereum through Across, 500 ETH and 495.6 ETH. The first landed 1h48m later. No relayer ever filled the second, and Across sent it back at 23:12Z.
That's the WETH he spent the night on: failed sells from 02:42Z, 1.30M USDC at 02:53Z, back on Ethereum as 483.75 ETH at 03:05Z, 12 ETH lighter.
The Optimism money came straight out of Bitget: its Optimism hot wallet, tagged Bitget 5 on the explorer, sent 5,737.68 ETH to the attacker's first wallet at 19:01Z.
The pile: 68,465 ETH on 15 wallets, nothing out since 03:45Z.
