Yesterday my ETH Long was in +18% profit (+0.25 USDT).
I was so close to my Take Profit at $2787 high.
I didn't close. I thought ETH will break $2800.
Today, same trade is in -75% loss.
My Trade Reality:
Pair: ETHUSDT Perp / 20X Long
Entry: $2,746.51
Mark Price Now: $2,647.48
Unrealized PNL: -0.99 USDT
ROI: -75.00%
Margin: $1.32
Liquidation: $2,609.26
What Went Wrong?
1. Greed - I didn't book profit when I had the chance.
2. No SL to Breakeven - When I was in +18%, I should have moved my Stop Loss to Entry.
3. Held Against Trend - After that big rejection from $2787, the trend changed but I kept holding.
What I Learned Today:
Profit is not profit until you close it. A small profit is better than a big loss. In futures, protecting capital is more important than chasing more profit.
I am not closing this trade yet because my liquidation is still far at $2609. I will manage it. This is my real journal, not fake PNL.
This is the real life of a small trader with $1.32 margin. Sometimes we win, sometimes we learn.
