Bitcoin is showing renewed strength after its sharp recovery, trading around $86,500 and holding above the key $85K area.

The biggest catalyst is institutional demand.

🇺🇸 U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded an extraordinary $998.95 million in net inflows on Sept. 21 — their largest single-day inflow since October 2025. BlackRock’s IBIT led with about $381.4M, followed by ARKB at $289.1M and Fidelity’s FBTC at $238.8M.

But ETF demand is only part of the story.

Bitcoin’s move from roughly $81K toward $87K was accompanied by significant short liquidations, with approximately $345M in BTC short positions liquidated during the rally. That means forced short covering helped accelerate the upside move.

Now comes the important test.

📍 $85K–$86K: near-term support zone
📍 $87K: immediate resistance
📍 $90K: major psychological target
📍 $82K–$83K: important breakout/retest area
📍 $76K–$77K: deeper structural support

@PositiveMindsGlobalResults @Binance Square Official - BITCOIN HOLDS $86K: IS $90K NEXT?

The bullish argument is strengthening if BTC can hold above $85K and eventually break $87K with sustained spot demand. A clean move through that area could put $90K firmly back on traders’ radar.

However, traders should not confuse one massive ETF inflow with a guaranteed continuation. ETF flows can reverse, while short-covering is temporary by nature. Recent reporting also shows that ETF inflows had been unusually weak just one week earlier, highlighting how quickly institutional flows can change.

🔥 The real question now: Can Bitcoin turn the $85K–$87K zone from resistance into support?

If yes, the market structure becomes increasingly constructive. If BTC repeatedly fails near $87K and falls back below $85K, another consolidation phase could develop.

What level do you think BTC reaches first — $90K or a retest of $82K? 👇
