Context
The main overhang remains the 21–22 Aug 2026 Base/BSC bridge exploit: unbacked SAND was minted on those chains; Ethereum and Polygon SAND were not affected. Real extraction was on the order of ~$0.7–1.5M, not the headline “face value” of the phantom mint. Bridging on Base and BSC was shut; Korean venues Upbit and Bithumb froze deposits/withdrawals; Coinbase dropped SAND futures.

The Sandbox is running a 1:1 ETH-SAND compensation window for eligible pre-attack bridged holders (claims through 22 Sep 2026; CEX holders generally handled via exchanges). That process, plus any Korean listing review, is the main project-specific news. Broader crypto beta still dominates day-to-day moves.
Levels (short-term, descriptive only)
Recent trade is clustered in the high-$0.03s.

Near support sits around the $0.037 24h low / recent weekly base; nearby resistance is the $0.040–$0.041 band (24h high and ~1-month reference). Volume is elevated versus market cap, consistent with post-incident trading rather than a quiet grind.
