CLARITY ACT: THE SETUP NOBODY'S PRICING IN 🚹
Everyone's still trading like this is "just another regulation bill." It's not.
Here's where we actually are:
✅ Passed the House 294–134 (bipartisan, not close)
✅ Senate Agriculture Committee already advanced it 12–11
✅ CFTC Chair Michael Selig publicly said the bill is "on the cusp" of becoming law
✅ Fairshake (crypto's super PAC) is sitting on $193M+ in campaign firepower to keep pressure on the Senate
This isn't a "maybe it happens" bill anymore. It's a "when, not if" bill — and markets historically underprice regulatory clarity until it's already priced in.
📌 What CLARITY actually does:
‱ Splits SEC/CFTC jurisdiction so projects stop getting sued into oblivion
‱ Gives the CFTC primary oversight of spot digital commodity markets
‱ Opens the runway for real institutional capital that's been sidelined by "regulation by enforcement"
Institutions aren't waiting for the vote to plan — they're waiting for the vote to move. That's the whole trade.
Zoom out: GENIUS Act (stablecoins) already signed into law. CLARITY is the second domino. When market structure gets codified, the "US is hostile to crypto" narrative dies — and that narrative has been suppressing multiples for years.
The bill isn't finished yet, and DeFi/stablecoin-yield disputes could still slow it down. But "close to becoming law" and "priced like it'll never happen" is a gap. Gaps like that don't stay open forever.
Not financial advice — DYOR, but don't sleep on the macro setup. 👀
