đš CALIFORNIA JUST SENT A BIG WARNING TO POLITICAL MEME COINS
Crypto aur politics ka combination ab regulators ke radar par aa gaya hai. đ
Californiaâs AB 2409 has cleared both chambers with a rare unanimous vote:
đșđž Senate: 40â0
đïž Assembly: 78â0
The bill is now headed to Governor Gavin Newsom for his signature.
If signed, the rules would:
đ« Prohibit covered public officials/public employees from issuing meme coins
â ïž From January 1, 2027, digital asset service providers would also be restricted from listing certain meme coins for California residents when they are offered by or in partnership with federal, state or local public officials.
And this is where it gets interestingâŠ
The move is widely being viewed as a response to the growing controversy around political meme coins, including the attention surrounding $TRUMP.
California could become the first U.S. state to put this kind of specific restriction into law.
đ„ But hereâs the bigger question:
Is this a necessary protection against political conflicts of interest?
OR
Is it the beginning of a much bigger crackdown on political crypto?
đ WHAT DO YOU THINK?
đą REGULATION = GOOD
đŽ REGULATION = BAD
